Meet Ashley and her pup Zaak.
He gives amazing yoga snuggles.

Ashley began the practice of  Ashtanga Yoga in 1999, preceded by the practice of meditation in 1998.   A deep affinity with Tibetan Buddhism led to her undergraduate studies in Buddhism, and soon she found the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.

Ashtanga has taught Ashley to approach Yoga asana (poses) from a foundation of breath and alignment. From there the path of Yoga has been one of continuous learning, growth, and deepening. She teaches Ashtanga, Hatha, Power/Vinyasa/Flow, Yin, Restorative, and Restorative Yoga with Hot Stones, as well as Mindfulness and Meditation. She is a reiki master and an energy medicine practitioner. She teaches, mostly in nature.

Ashley holds a Master's Degree in Psychedelics and Consciousness Studies from the University of Ottawa, as well as a B.A. Honours in Asian Religions from Concordia University in Montreal.  She is a Registered Psychotherapist of ten years and offers online sessions.

She has trained and studied Yoga in India with Saraswati Jois, Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann and in North America with Richard Freeman, Seane Corn, Mark Darby, the late Michael Stone, Kelly McGonigal and Rod Stryker among other superb teachers, and with Shiva Rea in Costa Rica.

Ashley's studies in Buddhism have allowed her the privilege to hold private audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on several occasions.  She has studied Buddhism with Robert Thurman, PhD in New York.

Ashley is a Depth Hypnosis and Applied Shamanism Practitioner, with certificates in Advanced Plant Medicine and more from the Foundation of the Sacred Stream in Berkeley, California.

She has written about some of her decades of studies and explorations of Consciousness in her new book, Listening to Your Light: Awakening the Wisdom Within.

Honoured to teach Yoga, Ashley invites you to find your breath in a safe, calm, energizing and encouraging environment.

"You totally hold the space! You have a lovely demeanor and nice sense of humour which makes me and others feel so comfortable. I like the way you offer options for different levels. I like your alignment cues and the sequencing feels right. In fact, I think I told about 5 people today what a great class I had! I know that in ashtanga the sun salutations go quickly. I have found that by slowing it down it really helps with breathing deeper/longer.  You come across as kind and genuine.
You have a great teaching style"
